About Me
I have been in the dog business for many years and have encountered many different methods of training and dealing with dog problems.
As a Dog Instructor using the Positive Reinforcement Method (food reward and clicker training) I found this method a great improvement from many of the earlier methods which used check chains, dominance control etc.
But over the years I felt there was still something missing with this method. I noticed many students, who even though achieved excellent dogs in the training class, but as soon as they left their dogs pulled them to the car. What was wrong I asked myself? People often ended up resorting to the use of all different types of training aids.
It was here that I began to study a method where you worked with the dog in a way the dog would understand. You became their Leader - not through force, harsh treatment, but by understanding them and communicating with them in a way that they understood and elected you to be their Leader and Protector.
I have become passionate about this and I want to help and show people how to understand and communicate with their dogs, and therefore enhance a wonderful experience that our canine friends give to us. As well as teaching you how to get your dog to WANT to do things for you and not have to FORCE or CONTINUALLY TELL THEM WHAT TO DO.
I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and guide you through this amazing method.
One-on-One Training Session of 6 lessons of 1¼-½ hr visits to your home and local Streets and Park on a day and time that is convenient for you. Bonding and getting your dog's trust as well as Basic training and any specific requirements will be catered for, for a fee of $250. On completion of this private training, weekly follow up with emails will be sent to you for a period of 1 year.
One-one-One Training Sessions for Young Adults (12 years and up) are catered for who wish to learn to train their own dog and earn their trust and have the special bond that children can have with their pets. Training would be tailor-made to the age of the young adult, fee of $250 for 6 lessons of 1¼ hours.
Travel outside the Brisbane area can of course be discussed.
